SAR
A SAR (Subject Access Request) is basically a way to get all copies of documentation the police (or other Public Serving bodies like CPS, MOJ, NHS, local Council ect..) have on you. This is an easy guide to doing it and a free template to use and share.
You need to send a Postal Order of £10 which you get at your local post office, make payable to your local police force (google SAR and your local police force for specific payee). You will also need to send a photograph of your self if you need Video and Image documents, you need to send copy of your Passport or driving licence and proof of your address. Below is a template you must follow if you want ALL documentation on you because you have to be VERY specific in what you want or the Police will play ignorant and blag you off. The Online form which the Police provide is not enough to meet your needs.
You will need to make many requests because they will withhold information on you. If they send you your SAR Request via email DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE which they provide demand to receive your SAR via the post. Make sure you post your SAR request via Recorded Delivery so you can make sure it arrived to the Police department and they can not claim that they did not receive a request. Make sure you contact them within the the 40 day deadline they have to make sure you request is being dealt with.

In accordance with the provisions of the data protection act 1998 [amended] and my statutory rights please supply me all data and information you hold on me commencing from (Insert your chosen date) ending (Insert your chosen date). I want all information and documentation even if it means I have duplications (This material includes, but is not limited to: custody records/logs/medical notes Medical reports /all niche records/manuscripts/ typewritten/printed paper/hard copy material, notes/file notes/telephone, memos/ complete telephone logs/ full uncut and unedited master copy versions of ALL video recordings showing UNAMMENDED AND UNEDITED TIMELINES AND footage FROM ALL CCTV CAMERA ANGLES/captures, audio recordings, and all electronic/digital information/ incident detail logs/CONFIRM IF I AM AN INTELLIGENCE SUBECT OR PERSON OF INTEREST/provide intelligence reports/complete person profiles and raw version person profiles and all intelligence related data. To make it clear i want all emails that include me and my name from my email address (insert your email address here). ALL call logs from made from and to my phone (Insert your phone number here)
Data and information held on all computer data bases inclusive of Niche, PNC (RMS), OPUS, Intelligeant Criminology, FIB, CRIMINT, DIU, Origin System and ISB, original unammended incident detail records, please ensure that all documents where abbreviations etc are used that these are all completely and accurately translated.
Please include ALL correspondence including telephone recordings/ information relating to calls between (Insert your local police force here) and the crime team/CPS/SOLICITORS AND BARRISTERS INCLUDING YOUR OWN.
Also please tell me whether any personal data is/has been processed and or will be processed about me and provide a description of the personal data, the reasons it is, has been or will be processed about me and whether it has/will be given to any other organisations/people and provide copy's of the information comprising such data; provide details of the source of the data. please ensure you state specifically those people and organisations as opposed to providing the usual standard list of those who the information MAY be shared with. Also advise me of the logic involved in any automated decisions you have made about me.
I request ALL information you have shared on me to (Insert your local CCTV company) from the (Insert date here). All CCTV footage which includes all video and audio recordings of me from holding cell, custody suite, nurse room, parking bay and and cell.
For complete clarity I SPECIFICALLY require all the above data relating to the following police Stations at which I attended:

I enclose herewith my cheque of £10.00 and two copies of identification.
